Long ago, before cities, before electronics, before men and women, there were all kinds of dinosaurs roaming the Earth. These creatures came in all shapes and sizes but the least type thought about, are the underwater dinosaurs.
In the picture above is the Plesiosaurus, an aquatic predator. These dinosaurs laid eggs on land similar to an aquatic animal we have today.These aquatic creatures ranged from 8-46 feet long! These underwater creatures might live in the ocean but are similar to dolphins.

Another prehistoric aquatic dinosaur is the Megalodon. This shark was about as long as a bus or bigger and ate large sea mammals. Scientists believe that the Megalodon ate 2,500 lbs a day. Thankfully, these sharks are fully extinct, no longer in our oceans!
